If you watched the live feed of the Nitro World Games yesterday and then saw the results today, you were probably very, very confused. Dawid Godziek was pronounced the winner during the show, but before the trophies were handed out, there was some controversy surrounding Dawid’s last run victory swoop over Ryan Williams. While on the plane ride back today I decided a little low-class breakdown of what happened was in order.
Also, a small tidbit not included in the video, for the people paying attention to the math on the scores, riders are given a small penalty for not doing the trick they called out beforehand…that explains why Dawid’s two trick score totals don’t add up correctly.
